Seasonal
Every morning I write letters. When I first moved to the States from the Philippines, letter writing was one of the only ways to keep up with family. I especially loved to write my Tita Pilar, my mother’s sister, and we exchanged letters until she passed a couple of years go. I would write to my friends from college. When my children went to college I started writing to them, too. I also volunteer for an organization called Chemo Angels—I write letters to people going through chemotherapy. A few years after I started painting, I realized I could make my own cards out of my favorite paintings and that’s how my holiday cards were born!
