I have always loved gardens, though since moving back to New York City my days of gardening are long gone. To me, gardens mean love and care—it takes a lot of work to keep a garden growing! Some of these paintings are based on gardens I have visited—from Suzhou to Pasadena to The Bronx Botanical Gardens.
